Tour Description

February may be the spookiest month yet for the town of Davidson. Not only does the month kick off with the anniversary of the untimely death of it’s namesake General William Lee Davidson but also includes the scandalous 1914 murder of the town’s most prominent citizen as well as the mysterious deaths of several other town doctors. February’s tour will also debut a story of two Davidson siblings so unlucky in love that it begs the questions, “Is it better to live with a broken heart or die of one?” Join us on a 90 minute tour of a town full of local legends, history and hauntings. You will experience a gentle stroll through beautiful downtown Davidson, with multiple spots to sit down and listen to stories. The walk is on fairly level ground and is wheelchair accessible. We start at the corner of Main and Depot Street in front of the Davidson College Store. The tour is creepy and meant to be a little scary, but the content is suitable for older children and teens.
